I WANT TO BE AN AU-PAIR IN DUBLIN IRELAND!
|
What is an Au-Pair: An au-pair is a young girl whose primary purpose in coming to Ireland is to learn English through living with you and your family, and to experience Irish family life. In exchange your Au-Pair will provide you with up to 40 hours childcare help per week and will babysit up to 2 nights. As a Host-family you will be expected to understand that an Au-Pair is part of a cultural exchange programme and you must treat your Aupair as a member of the family and not hired help.

September is one of our busiest times. There are not always enough Aupairs for every family it is for this reason that we will be giving families who host summer Aupairs priority for September. |
| AU-PAIR STUDY CENTER CLASSES: |
Classes: (Monday an Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday, 18h00-20h00 or 20h00 -22h00)
As a partner of Annalivia (a school recognoised by the department of education) we offer classes for the Aupairs. Aupairs, while attending our programme MUST attend classes. We support and encourage our Aupair students to take Cambridge or TIE exam courses because it gives them a serious educational objective as well as an Internationally recognised Certificate which will enhance their Curriculum Vitae and their employment prospects. The maximum number of students in the group is limited to 12 creating a relaxed learning environment in which optimum progress can be made. It also allows the teacher to deal with the particular language problems of the students as they arise in class as there is a proper amount of teacher-student contact time.

| Au-Pair Study Center - some background information: |
AuPairStudyCenter is an agency that provides both Au pair placements and Au Pair classes on the South side of Dublin. The agency was set up in 1990 by Eva. Eva originally came to Dublin as an Aupair herself and has first-hand experience of what it means to be an Aupair student in Ireland. She wanted to create an agency that would ensure that the family understood what it means to have an ‘additional’ member in the household and the need to create a working and personal relationship with the Aupair based on co-operation and mutual respect. By being sensitive to both the needs of the Aupairs and the families and matching the right girl with the right family, she found a formula for success. This success is reflected in the fact that the Centre has grown into one of the largest placement agencies in Dublin.
