ANNALIVIA SCHOOL IS AN AUTHORISED AND ACCREDITED TOEIC EXAMINATION CENTRE.
WHAT IS THE TOEIC? The Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) measures the everyday English language skills of people working in an international environment.
WHO TAKES IT and WHY? Non-native speakers of English are often asked by employers to show evidence of their competence, based on the TOEIC. Even if you are not currently looking for work, it is widely known and will look good on your CV!
WHO ACCEPTS IT? Employers world-wide, companies and corporations, academic institutions and government agencies around the world.
TESTING FORMAT The TOEIC is a paper-and-pencil, multiple-choice assessment that uses audio, visual and written materials to evaluate English language skills.
WHERE CAN I DO THE TEST? On the last Friday of every month, Annalivia School hosts the TOIEC test. The test takes about 2.5 hours to complete.
EXAMINATION REGISTRATION: Students register at least 3 weeks in advance, in person, at the school.
FORMAT & SCORING: The test comprises of 200 multiple choice questions arranged as follows:
a) LISTENING(45 minutes): 100 questions in four categories: statements, questions, conversations and talks in real-life situations e.g. recorded telephone conversations, travel announcements, meetings etc.
b) READING(75 minutes): 100 questions taken from authentic situations such as travel, meetings, entertainment, housing etc. Each section is marked separately and then added up for an overall result.
COSTS: Cost of exam: € 95 Cost of administration, certificate, secure postage: €15 Total cost: €110 payable on the day of registration at the school. |
