| | | | Our Location | | |  | Our English School is located in Dun laoghaire, 15 minutes from Dublin city centre by DART (light rail) and only 3 minutes' walk from the DART station. We have Free WIFI access for all students, student computers with internet access (free), a student relaxation area (with free tea and coffee), student kitchen, 7 large bright classrooms and an outdoor patio. We have regular free English classes in the afternoons. We believe that learning English should not stop once you leave the classroom and so we offer 2 social activities per week, which are free (except for entrance fees) and open for all students to attend. Activities include: Guinness Factory visit, Traditional Irish pub nights, Museums, Irish Dancing nights, Walking tour of the city etc. These activities are lead by Diane, our Social Co-ordinator who accompanies the students on all outings and makes sure that English is the common language!
All our adult courses are based in our Dun Laoghaire English Language centre, which is just 20 minutes by train (DART) from Dublin city centre. Dun Laoghaire is a busy shopping town with many social amenities including a large cinema, a theatre, 2 shopping centres as well as many bars, nightclubs and restaurants. It is also the largest sailing and water sports centre in Ireland. The school is just a few minutes walk from the James Joyce tower where Ireland’s greatest modernist writer lived and which is the setting of the first chapter of his world famous novel, Ulysses.
From Dublin city centre;
Take the DART from any station in the city centre southbound to Dun Laoghaire or Sandycove/Glasthule Dart stations. Follow the directions below.
From SANDYCOVE/GLATHULE Dart (light rail) station;
Upon leaving the station turn left, continue through the crossroads, past the shops and take the first left and walk up Clarinda Park where you will see a big yellow building with a black door – the new Annalivia School. Total time: 5 minutes
From DUN LAOGHAIRE Dart and Bus station;
Upon leaving the DART station, turn left and walk to the pedestrian crossing at the traffic lights. Cross the road and go straight up Marine Road. At the top of Marine Road, turn left (with the shopping centre on your left)onto George's Street. Continue down George's Street (it should take you about 3/4 minutes) until you see Clarinda Park on your right. Turn right onto Clarinda Park and you will see a big yellow building with a black door – the new Annalivia School. Total time: 10 minutes |
